I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado where I started taking piano lessons in second grade. Being an extrovert I had more fun sharing my new knowledge with others than by just keeping it to myself.
When I was twelve years old I officially started my piano studio. A friend of my mother’s was looking for some way to teach her ADHD daughter discipline. She called my mom asking for help and the next thing I knew, I was a piano teacher! I had a waiting list of students throughout high school and college thanks to my mother’s creative recruiting early on.
I attended Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia where I majored in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Missions and minored in Piano. I continued to teach piano throughout college and after graduating before I left the country for two years to serve as a missionary in Kiev, Ukraine. In Kiev I started children’s Sunday school and a children’s choir for our church plant and sang for our church’s worship team.
I moved to Grapevine, Texas when I got married in February 2007. My husband and I enjoy jogging around the Grapevine Lake and browsing the new shops and restaurants at the Southlake Town Square. Besides teaching piano I enjoy cooking, photography, and interior design.
